A few weeks ago, my family and I ventured to Florida for a family gathering. I have so many more photos to share, but this one is one of my favorites! Enjoy!

Oh how I love getting her picture when she leasts expects it! Most of the time (and most photog momma’s can understand) when I take out the camera, Haylee won’t smile a bit for me. It’s like she knows that camera and what I want, and she ain’t about to give me any of it. I digress….

I did however, manage to capture the true Baby Bear in all her silliness. I brought her down to the studio over the weekend before dinner and propped her up on the bean bag. It didn’t take long to get some of her true personally it out!

Mine on Monday ~ What Have I Been Up Too? ~ Denver, Colorado Family Photographer

Why so glad you asked! Actually, I’ve been up to a lot and life has been nothing short of being crazy, busy, awesome, fun and full of laughter. Right now my life is headed in a direction I’ve been wanting for awhile. I won’t dive into details, but let’s just say life is good πŸ™‚ I’m so excited and blessed to see what the coming months being for me.

So one of the (many) projects that I’ve been working on is replacing this gross (I really mean gross too!) green carpet that is in our playroom. The carpet came with the house when we bought it and has been a problem area since day one. This is not because I hate the carpet color (ok, it had a lot to do with it) but my cat was constantly urinating on it. I assume it had something to do with the pet’s that were there before we moved in, but nevertheless we could never get the smell to come out after he peed πŸ™ Sad, yes, but it made my getting something new in there happen much faster! Woot!

So we journeyed out to find hardwood floors for the new area. I’m not sure what were thinking, perhaps excitement got the best of us, because after we bought the supplies, got home, unloaded and attempted to put these floors in, we quickly realized we had NO idea what we were doing πŸ™‚ Ahhh the beauty of DIY’ers! Β After a few attempts of putting in, taking out, scratching our heads and having a beer the floor began to take shape. The site supervisor was in charge most of the time, though I think she had much more fun playing around than supervising πŸ™‚

Before picture

I should note, that we set thisΒ nastyΒ lovely piece of carpet outside after and listed on craigslist for free. Someone actually took it… God Bless Them!

No more carpet – YAY

We all wrote our names on the floor before covering it back up. Had to leave our mark somewhere πŸ™‚

Details ~ the small elements that collectively constitute a work of art

Though they are small, these little curls are precious to me. It’s the small things in life we forgot to document and later think we wished we would have taken a picture of it. Even though it might be a hassle to run and get the camera remember that this day, this moment in time only happens ONCE. Take it for all it’s worth, all it’s beauty and remember it, because you will never get that moment back πŸ™‚ I hope your long weekend was wonderful!

“Life is like a 10-speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use.”~ Charles Schultz

My Baby Bear is learning to ride her pink trike. The other day, we took her to the park and showed her how to ride her bike. She’s almost got her feet to coordinate the pushing of the pedals too πŸ˜‰ I love these stages of life and getting to go through them with her. Nothing is more important to me than sharing the little moments with my Baby Bear.

I hope your day was filled with as much happiness as mine. My Mother’s Day was filled with love, laughter and spending time with the people that matter most in my life. It started with a beautiful sermon at church and ended with a delicious dinner with friends at Texas Road House….can we say YUM! In between it was spending time with Haylee bear at the park. Of course it wouldn’t be complete with our cat Toby tagging along (note – he thinks he’s a dog) to take part in the festivities at the park. My life is anything but perfect and that is what makes me completely happy! Enjoy my lovies and may you have a wonderful start to your week.

Mine on Monday: Morning Giggles ~ Denver, Colorado Newborn and Child Photographer

· January 9, 2012 · 6:00 am · Children, Personal, , , , , , , , , , , ,

One of my favorite times of the day is waking up and snuggling, laughing, kissing and playing around with my daughter in the morning. I love it more than words could say, because it’s our time and it can be as long as we want it to be. I finally decided it was time to document this special part of our day, but alas once the camera came out my daughter was a no go. So I took what I could and enjoyed the little giggles that she gave me πŸ™‚

Perhaps I can get more photos another day…

~ Welcome ~

I'm Angela and I love what I do.

I play many different roles in my life, but boring is not one of them. I'm silly, quarky, completly honest and try to live life to it's fullest. I put my heart and soul into photography and take great pride in my work and making sure my clients leave with beautiful works of art they can cherish forever.

I love natural light photography and love working outdoors, however, I have a dedicated studio with professional grade lighting, props and decors specifically for newborns and young children. I adore creating art with color and light. Client galleries are a variety of work tailored to their preferences and edited to my style.

This was just a little bit about me. I can't wait to meet you and I hope that viewing my work will bring each of you as many smiles as it has brought to me!

xoxo ~ Angela
