The Vintage Cupcake Photography Make-Over – Denver, Colorado Portrait Photographer

It was time. Time for a fresh start, a new breath of life and time to make some serious changes. For those of you that know me personally, it’s been nothing short of a exhausting 8 months that has taken me on a roller coaster ride. I won’t air my dirty laundry, but will say, it’s only by the grace of God, my family, daughter and close church family that I have made it through with my head held high. Now that most of it is behind me, I can truly say that had you talked me 8 months ago, I would never think that I would be where I am at now. Now, though is the happiest I have been. I didn’t know life could be so easy and happy. I’m not perfect, but I am finally happy and heading down a path I believe God wanted me to go. A path that is healthy, happy, fun and never lacks entertainment 🙂

So with all the transition in my life, I am finally at place to make the transition with my business. Hold on to your pants, because there is going to be A LOT of change. I promise it’s all good!  But I can say it was needed. Not only for me, but for the business it’s self. So within the next week I will be un-vailing the NEW look, pricing and make-over of The Vintage Cupcake Photography. Since your here, you will already see that TVCP has a new logo….yes, that needed to change as well. Out with the old and in with new, as they say.

So keep an eye out as the un-vailing will be happening soon!

Oh how I love getting her picture when she leasts expects it! Most of the time (and most photog momma’s can understand) when I take out the camera, Haylee won’t smile a bit for me. It’s like she knows that camera and what I want, and she ain’t about to give me any of it. I digress….

I did however, manage to capture the true Baby Bear in all her silliness. I brought her down to the studio over the weekend before dinner and propped her up on the bean bag. It didn’t take long to get some of her true personally it out!

Mine on Monday ~ What Have I Been Up Too? ~ Denver, Colorado Family Photographer

Why so glad you asked! Actually, I’ve been up to a lot and life has been nothing short of being crazy, busy, awesome, fun and full of laughter. Right now my life is headed in a direction I’ve been wanting for awhile. I won’t dive into details, but let’s just say life is good 🙂 I’m so excited and blessed to see what the coming months being for me.

So one of the (many) projects that I’ve been working on is replacing this gross (I really mean gross too!) green carpet that is in our playroom. The carpet came with the house when we bought it and has been a problem area since day one. This is not because I hate the carpet color (ok, it had a lot to do with it) but my cat was constantly urinating on it. I assume it had something to do with the pet’s that were there before we moved in, but nevertheless we could never get the smell to come out after he peed 🙁 Sad, yes, but it made my getting something new in there happen much faster! Woot!

So we journeyed out to find hardwood floors for the new area. I’m not sure what were thinking, perhaps excitement got the best of us, because after we bought the supplies, got home, unloaded and attempted to put these floors in, we quickly realized we had NO idea what we were doing 🙂 Ahhh the beauty of DIY’ers!  After a few attempts of putting in, taking out, scratching our heads and having a beer the floor began to take shape. The site supervisor was in charge most of the time, though I think she had much more fun playing around than supervising 🙂

Before picture

I should note, that we set this nasty lovely piece of carpet outside after and listed on craigslist for free. Someone actually took it… God Bless Them!

No more carpet – YAY

First attempt at laying the floor…

Site Supervisor hard at work

We all wrote our names on the floor before covering it back up. Had to leave our mark somewhere 🙂

Chillin after a hard days work…

Working in the dark + light = cool photo

~ June Style Guide ~

~ Welcome ~

I'm Angela and I love what I do.

I play many different roles in my life, but boring is not one of them. I'm silly, quarky, completly honest and try to live life to it's fullest. I put my heart and soul into photography and take great pride in my work and making sure my clients leave with beautiful works of art they can cherish forever.

I love natural light photography and love working outdoors, however, I have a dedicated studio with professional grade lighting, props and decors specifically for newborns and young children. I adore creating art with color and light. Client galleries are a variety of work tailored to their preferences and edited to my style.

This was just a little bit about me. I can't wait to meet you and I hope that viewing my work will bring each of you as many smiles as it has brought to me!

xoxo ~ Angela
